In loving Memory of David C. Wilson!
Whom went home to be with the Lord!
August 22nd, 2008

David has been photographing nature since the early 1970’s. He studied wildlife management, zoology, and botany at the University of Wisconsin and worked for the Wisconsin DNR for a short period of time. David’s knowledge of the camera was self-taught through reading and actual photographing out in the field. His encounters with many professional wildlife photographers has given David the opportunity to become friends with many, and with the exchange of ideas, learned many technical aspects of wildlife photography. Friends like Bill Lea, Len Rue Jr., the late Bill Silliker Jr. along with countless others, have shared with David many hours of constructive criticism along with encouragement for his passion.

An avid bow hunter since 1967, David has learned behavioral patterns of many "Big Game" species, and he uses his knowledge and patience to capture on film, the magical expressions of wildlife. Since David’s home is in Wisconsin, he is constantly trying to "learn his backyard" by traveling much of Wisconsin and Northern Minnesota ecosystems. His preference is the "Boundary Waters" of Northern Minnesota, and the North Shore because of its vast area with little human impact. He is inspired by the awesome beauty of the wildlife world and has always been challenged to capture its profiles in "just the right light".

David’s images have won numerous awards through various juried competitions, and as a result of these competitions, a number of his photographs are now in use. The Museum of Life and Science in Durham, North Carolina, magazine publications, post cards, and the British Columbia Wildlife Park. CF’s 26th Annual Legal Directory's in Redding California and many private collections across the U.S. and Canada. Most recently the Wisconsin Whitetail/Turkey Expo magazine honored David for his Black Bear, and in previous issues, his Whitetail.

David is often asked what makes a great image. Besides nailing exposure and composition, he believes that if the photograph can make you reflect on the beauty of the profile it creates or more importantly, the beliefs it inspires within you, then it is truly a great photograph.

David uses the Canon EOS system with the "Pro White Glass". His images are captured on Fuji transparency film and processed by a professional digital lab using archival photographic paper.

~ Photographer Cynthia Wilson

Cynthia has been photographing wildlife creation since the late 1970’s. While living in Colorado for 17 years, Cynthia’s photographic interest for nature increased with the beautiful landscapes and different species of wildlife. However, Cynthia put her photography interest on hold to pursue her career in Business.

When Cynthia returned to Wisconsin it wasn’t until the late 1990’s that her photography blossomed then turned into a passion. Through the help of her husband and other professional wildlife photographers, her skills and interest developed with a strong commitment to calling attention to the peace and beauty found in creation.

Since Cynthia’s home is in Wisconsin, she is constantly trying to "learn her own backyard" by traveling much of Wisconsin and Minnesota ecosystems. Cynthia’s goal is to capture on film, the many wonders of nature and to share her images with friends, family and others interested in creation art. She has shown her work around the area and has recently placed first and third in the Wisconsin Whitetail/Turkey Expo photography contest held in Madison, Wisconsin for her fauna and flora. For her efforts, she received trophies and will be published in the Wisconsin Whitetail/Turkey Expo Magazine in the year 2006.
